Charlton Country Fayre

A Country Fayre has been a key part of the village calendar in Charlton for many years, and is held annually in June, on and around the village green.

Last year's Fayre, held on June 16th 2018, was blessed with good weather. We changed the times slightly and as a result had a good turnout. We raised over £2000 for various charities, This combined with the friendly feeling of community resulted in an excellent day.

As always we need to start planning for this year’s event which will be held on Saturday 22nd June and run from 12:30pm to 4:00pm.

A meeting was held on Tuesday 19th February at 7pm in the Old School Room on Ryden Lane, Charlton to continue with preparations. If you wish to help with the preparations or help on the day but were not available on the 19th please either come to the next meeting on Thursday 28th March at 7:00pm in The Old Schoolroom, or contact Steve Metcalf on 07956 119773 or email:

This photo was taken at the start of the 2018 Fayre by Graham Finnigan from Wick using a drone and he has kindly allowed us to use it.
