A Country Fayre has been a key part of the village calendar in Charlton for many years, and is held annually in June, on and around the village green.
Last year's Fayre, held on June 16th 2018, was blessed with good weather. We changed the times slightly and as a result had a good turnout. We raised over £2000 for various charities, This combined with the friendly feeling of community resulted in an excellent day.
As always we need to start planning for this year’s event, the Fayre will be held on Saturday 22nd June.
We will be having an open meeting at 7pm on Monday 21st January in the Old School Room in Charlton. The purpose of the meeting is to allow everyone to give their views on what format they would like the Fayre to take in 2019. It is your opportunity to help decide how we develop the Fayre. All views are welcome. Tell us what you liked about the Fayre, what you think we should change. If you require any further information or are unable to make the meeting but would like to express a view please feel free to call me on 247063 - Steve Metcalf
The photo was taken at the start of the Fayre by Graham Finnigan from Wick using a drone and he has kindly allowed us to use it.
