Since lockdown the Old Schoolroom has had no income therefore the money raised from 100 Club is needed more than ever. Please renew as soon as possible and no later than Saturday 8th August. If insufficient numbers have been taken up and paid for by that date we will have to consider not running 100 Club.
The £500 that goes into the renovation and refurbishment fund will also enable the trustees to keep up a reasonable balance of funds for unexpected repairs. Planning permission has been granted for an extension which was due to be built this summer. Obviously, this has been delayed. Another major project will be the resurfacing of the drive.
Please continue to help.
There are some numbers available for the 2020/21 year. Cost to you £10 per number cash or a cheque made payable to Joseph Baker Workman Trust. Post through my letterbox and remember to put your name on please.
The first draw will be in September.
Please advise Diane Barlow if you want to be reminded of your numbers.

and she will add you to the list. £10 per number, 10 draws per year. Over half of the numbers have already been renewed THANK YOU!
The next stages of the refurbishment activities will require significant funding, especially the driveway work, so in order to fund these we will continue to look for possible grants that we can apply for and continue to carry out fund raising events.
As well as raising funds for the Schoolroom these are excellent community events. We rely on your support to ensure the that Old Schoolroom, a valuable village asset, is retained for future generations. Please continue to support the Trustees to make sure that this happens.
Recently a grant of £10,000 was received from the National Lottery, taking us closer to the target of £30,000 required to build the new Meeting Room and replace the historic East Window.
